Songbird Festival Davos -The Gardener & the Tree, Opération Zéro (Samstag, 21.12.2024)

Künzli Holz AG - Davos

THE GARDENER & THE TREE - Folk, Pop

It took a long time. Almost 10 years.

But now we have succeeded in bringing the most internationally successful Swiss folk-pop band to the SONGBIRD FESTIVAL DAVOS: THE GARDENER & THE TREE.

The five guys from Schaffhausen are regarded as the Swiss answer to THE LUMINEERS or MIGHTY OAKS and are - undisputedly - one of the best Swiss live bands. They have already won a SWISS MUSIC AWARD for this, beating bands such as the highly acclaimed SOPHIE HUNGER.

After their SILVER LINING European tour and with a freshly released EP in the bag, THE GARDENER & THE TREE will be playing a few selective club concerts this fall/winter, as they call the concerts away from the really big festival stages, in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The last of the year in Davos - at our place, in the wonderfully atmospheric Künzli Holz production hall, which we can always use for our final festival concert.

Carried by the sensational voice of MANUEL FELDER, the audience becomes part of the music, surrendering to the rhythm of the resounding drum beats and dancing to the unmistakable folk-pop melodies - from “Postcards” to “Wild Horses” and “Mama's Guitar”.

We are very, very proud to have THE GARDENER & THE TREE at the SONGBIRD FESTIVAL DAVOS for the first time. And we promise an unforgettable live experience that will linger for weeks to come.

OPÉRATION ZÉRO - Dialect, Reggae, Afrobeat

They bring the happy summer into the Davos winter: The most spectacular live act from Bern at the moment, OPÉRATION ZÉRO. The brilliant trio consists of the Senegalese-Swiss beatboxer Malick, the Ivorian-French-Spanish producer and multi-instrumentalist Kali (producer of Maître Gims and Stress, among others) and the Bernese bilingue rapper JJ.

The cultural diversity of the three friends from their youth is reflected in their catchy dialect songs, which often contain French lines and move stylistically between reggae, afrobeat and urban pop. They effortlessly overcome the Rösti divide and inspire as a great live band. Even as a young band, this brought them to the big open airs, namely the Openair Gampel, the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Zurich Openair and the Heitere.

Now the “Good Vibes” musicians will also conquer the SONGBIRD stage and your hearts, guaranteed.

“THE discovery from Bern.” SRF
